Skanska Financial Services (SFS) is one of the Skanska Group’s support units and consists of four departments, Treasury, Project Advisory, SFS USA and Support & Control. To the Guarantees & Legal department, which is part of Project Advisory at SFS, we are searching for a highly motivated and qualified legal counsel.
Work description
You will work across all of Skanska’s geographies with a variety of tasks within the team’s area of responsibility, ranging from large and complex projects to more routine matters.
Your main tasks will include:
- providing advise to Skanska entities on project specific structures and contractual conditions relating to guarantees and financial risk management.
- assisting the business units in project finance transactions.
- procuring and negotiating guarantee agreements with banks and insurance companies
- setting up and monitor internal processes and policies for issuance of bank- and insurance guarantees or Skanska parent company guarantees.
- general corporate law and legal compliance with regard to SFS activities
- advising SFS Treasury on various legal matters
The work is often performed as an integral part of a project team and/or in close cooperation with Skanska units. The needs of the Skanska units must be fully understood and matched to achieve optimal solutions from a legal and commercial perspective. Frequent contacts with other Skanska entities, clients, partners and third part guarantors are essential for being able to provide high quality support to the business.
The position is based in Stockholm.
Your profile
You have around five years of relevant experience from law firm, bank or corporate. Experience from an international environment and from construction law and/or trade finance is meriting. You are a business oriented team player with good social skills. Comfortably you communicate at all levels. With your strong driving force and curiosity you act proactively. Both your spoken and written English and Swedish are fluent.
